Manager - Clinical Implementation and Operations

The Manager, Clinical Implementation and Operations is responsible for functioning as the implementation, process improvement and optimization lead on all clinical programs, applications and operations.  Primary focus will be within the Medical Management organization, with an emphasis on Care Management Programs, Applications/Technology, and support in the development/implementation of Medical Management Training Programs/University.  Goal and objective is to advance the vision and mission of Prospect Medical Systems, implement and operationalize a sustainable and scalable franchise model of care.  The Manager, Clinical Implementation and Operations reports to the VP, Clinical Integration and Program Development, but will work hand in hand with the Directors, Inpatient and Outpatient Case Management, and other Medical Management Leadership.  Collaboratively, s/he will support the organization’s strategic direction, execute and implement on defined process improvement initiatives, and support the clinical programs new market expansion efforts.  The Manager, Clinical Implementation and Operations will function as the project guide, influencer, manager and lead cross-functional teams through program execution.  S/he works with Clinical Leadership to establish and approve methods for design, development, and implementation of clinical protocols, care management applications/systems, and outcomes reporting. 

Job Responsibilities/Duties

  • Implement compliant clinical processes and procedures to support an effective and efficient medical management infrastructure.
  • Promote centralized coordinated interdisciplinary process in the continuum of care and act as a resource and SME for staff and cross functional leaders in clinical operations. 
  • Support Case Management/Coordination Platform and Operational development and ongoing improvement.
  • Implement solid clinical operations for new strategic programs, such as in-home medical model, Post-Discharge and Care Transitions, Hospitalist, and Disease Management Programs with a focus on Care Management/Coordination. 
  • Work with cross functional teams to establish systems, process and protocols for technologies that support the Care Management Program for both inpatient and outpatient management. 
  • In collaboration with the Chief Clinical Transformation Officer and VP, Clinical Integration and Program Development and the Case Management Leadership, build and manage the Clinical Training Programs, including MOC Requirements for SNP, CMC and other lines of business with MOC Requirements.
  • Support the development of the PMG Clinical Academy. 
  • Function as the Clinical Operations Program Lead for New Market Expansions, Mergers and Acquisitions and/or new business. 


Minimum Education:  Bachelor’s Degree Required, Masters and/or Nursing License Preferred. PMP, highly desired.

Minimum Experience: Minimum five (5) years of clinical operations management. Minimum of three to five (3-5) years of large scale program and project implementations. Minimum of five (5) years’ experience of working in a managed care, hospital, MSO IPA Operations. Experience in training and clinical operations in the health care setting. Minimum five (5) years’ experience developing care management programs with an emphasis on chronic/complex care management; deep understanding of managed care, care coordination and utilization management.
