Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of effective short —and long term strategic marketing and business development plans and driving the overall membership growth of Gateway primary care in all clinic locations (measured by membership count for all line of business). Collaborate with health plans, IPA network team, insurance brokers, and other community stakeholders and clinic team on promoting Gateway Urgent Care and workers comp services and referrals (measured by revenue)   



Job Responsibilities/Duties

  • Review and track clinic membership trends and patient volume periodically and develop and implement effective marketing plans to retain and grow membership for all clinic locations. Attend, organize, coordinate and outreach all health related, community events, and hospital and clinic health fairs to promote Gateway physicians, and primary care services in the community.. Compile and analyze market data and trends and evaluate results/track performance accordingly to ensure marketing and business development objectives are met.
  • Promote Gateway Urgent Care and Occupational services including HMO, PPO, Medicare, cash, employer's services and workers compensation. Develop and maintain strategic business relationships with urgent care payers, occupational clients, worker compensation adjusters and local providers to bring service awareness and gain patient referrals and revenues to Gateway Urgent care.
  • Support internal departments (operations, contract, marketing, and billing) to manage expectations, reduce expense, determine priorities and ensure quality of service and financial performance of clinic operations Other clinic operations projects assigned by the management team..


Qualifications

Minimum Education:   Bachelor's degree preferred in marketing/customer relations, business development, healthcare or closely related fields.

Minimum Experience:  Minimum 3-5 years of direct and extensive experience in marketing, public relations, or communications in a health care setting required
