Business Analyst, Operations Program Management

The Business Analyst is responsible for the successful gathering and documentation of operational requirements of the projects as assigned by the Director of the Operations Program Management or the Project Managers. Projects may be moderately to highly complex and could involve a diverse set of components with cross functional departments for the key operational initiatives of the company.  Projects cover a variety of operational initiatives including new market / contract launches, new service line implementations, website re-launch & maintenance, government & regulatory compliances, PCP practice transformations.



Job Responsibilities/Duties

  • Definition and design of the company’s functional area requirements.  The critical ingredient for success in this capacity is to develop a deep understanding of the company’s business model, service strategy and functional capabilities.
  • Analysis, coordination and some project management responsibilities for a variety of business initiatives, and other interactions with partners, vendors and other service providers.
  • Composition of a variety of documents including project charter, ROI analysis, Business Requirements Document, Specifications, Roadmaps, and other business documentation as required by the department, 
  • Coordination of training materials and organizing training for users for any new project
  • Partner with IT Analysts and ensure business requirements are provided to them and understood as an input for their technical documentation and collaborate with them throughout project life cycle.
  • Manage small projects independently and mid-size projects with supervision form Project Managers and/or Director of Operations Program Management.
  • Assist with project documentation and evaluation including but not limited to Request for Proposals (RFP), Request for Information (RFI) evaluation, meeting agenda, minutes, actions items, risk logs.
  • Support long and short term strategic and operational goals for the organization and department. Participate in activities to develop, enhance and maintain operational information and models through research and analysis of data and business processes.
  • Closely partner with the business owners and their departments to ensure successful selection, development and implementation of business solutions.
  • Deliver detailed requirements. Serve as the liaison between the customer/user community and the implementation teams to gather, analyze, interpret, clarify, and develop business requirements on the assigned projects and validate and ensure that the project is meeting the requirements during each phase.
  • Elicit, understand, and document business requirements, related business rules and business.  


Qualifications

Minimum Education:  Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred.

Minimum Experience:  Five (5) or more years’ experience in healthcare, preferably in an IPA operational setting. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance issues is vital. At least five (5 ) years related experience managing small, medium projects. Must have strong working knowledge of MS Word, MS Project, MS Excel, and Visio. Knowledge of document generation technologies, report creation required
